More than a few of you have slid into my DMs asking how on earth do I fold a King size fitted sheet neatly? And I get it. That elastic can be a real pain.

But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! With a few quick steps, you can turn that tricky sheet into a neat little bundle that’s compact, easy to store and keeps your linen cupboard looking tidy and stress-free.

Here’s the method I use every single time. It’s quick, easy and once you get the hang of it, you’ll be folding sheets like a pro!

Anita’s Step-by-Step Method

  1. Corners in Corner
Start by tucking one corner of the fitted sheet into the other so the elastic edges are layered inside each other. This creates a smooth starting point and makes the rest of the folding a breeze.
  2. Lay it Down, Pinch Grab and Turn
Lay the sheet flat on your bed or a table. Take a moment to smooth it out, then pinch, grab and turn the sheet so you start to see it forming a neat square shape. It can feel a bit fiddly at first, but trust me, it’s worth it!
  3. Smooth Out and Flatten
Next, smooth the sheet out completely, flattening it into a square shape. Taking that extra moment to get it really flat helps so much in the final fold.
  4. Fold Up, Fold In and Flatten Again
Fold the sheet up, then fold inwards to create a smaller square. Flatten it down again so there are no lumps or bumps. This step keeps everything snug and compact.
  5. Final Fold into a Pocket
For the final step, fold in one side of the square and then fold the other side into the little pocket you’ve created. This last fold holds everything together and gives you a super neat, compact sheet that’s easy to tuck away.

And there you have it! Your King size fitted sheet is now neatly folded, ready to be stored away without taking up too much space. No more messy, bulging linen shelves, just smooth, tidy stacks that make your linen cupboard a joy to look at.

Got your own folding tips? I’d love to hear them! I’m always up for learning new tricks to make life easier.
